MobileMe Web Hostings
The Apple iCloud online service raises a lot of question about the fate of MobileMe web hostings service.
The Apple iCloud will be replacing this service soon, and the company has finally addressed some concerns such as whether iCloud will offer the same functionality as MobileMe. Apple confirmed that the iCloud service will not allow users to upload any file type they want to iDisk as they can now with MobileMe. In addition, the service will no longer offer web hosting, or the awesome online photo galleries that MobileMe is known for. However, it's still unclear whether third-party companies will develop apps to replace these services. Apple has said that the iCloud storage system will be accessible to approved apps from the iTunes and Mac App stores. As of June 30, the iWeb sites, iDisk data and MobileMe photo galleries will all disappear forever.
